JOURNAL vol.4 — OPUS COLLECTION

OPUS is the art collection of OBJJP ARCHITECTS. Taking the structures of COMMONS as its starting point, each piece layers patina, the base color of brass, and the movement of the hand — drawing out, piece by piece, the form in which a material holds time.

Form is repeated. Dimensions and structure connect back to COMMONS. But the surface is never repeated. How patina appears, how much brass remains, how light is received — each piece differs.

To choose an OPUS piece is to choose a single expression. Born from the same form, yet a surface that will never appear again. From the moment it arrives, it belongs entirely to that one piece.

Through use, more time is laid over the patina. The change introduced by the maker's hand is joined by the time of the person who uses it. OPUS is a piece that carries this double layer of time.
